Six Pacific Place

Wan Chai, Hong Kong I 2025

Six Pacific Place is the latest addition to a series of Grade A office tower developments in Hong Kong's Admiralty area by Swire Properties. This new office tower not only features a bridge link to the existing 5 Pacific Place offices but also plays a vital role in the ongoing evolution of the CBD, enhancing connectivity and functionality for tenants and visitors alike.

The design embraces an architectural folding concept characterized by angular planes and volumes, creating a sense of movement and dynamism within the space, fostering an engaging environment.

Accessed via an escalator from the ground floor, the main lobby makes a bold statement upon arrival. The visual linearity of the space is emphasized by a linear angular volumetric ceiling that complements the elongated layout. Core walls surrounding the lift shafts are treated with vertically folded wooden panels of varying widths, offering a playful and dynamic aesthetic that defines the elevator area entrance. These walnut wood panels introduce warmth and texture, layered over pristine Ariston White marble, creating a striking contrast between warmth and refined stone. This thoughtful combination reflects a modern workplace ethos that balances professionalism with a touch of playfulness. An abundance of natural light floods the lobby from one side, filtered through elegant vertical wooden fins that provide screening while allowing light to enter. At the elevator areas, the folding walls transition seamlessly to white marble planes that frame the wooden panels, defining the elevator entrances.

The focal point of the main lobby is a sculptural staircase, with a reception desk prominently positioned in front, welcoming visitors into the space. This staircase serves not only as a functional element but also as a striking sculptural feature that enhances the overall design narrative. Clad in black steel with organic folds, it draws the eye upward and invites movement, creating a visual anchor in the lobby.

Providing direct access to the conference area above, the staircase is flanked by high walls that create an intimate experience for those ascending. As visitors make their way up, the walls obscure views of the outside, enhancing the sense of journey and anticipation. The staircase winds in various directions, maintaining a sense of intrigue and discovery until reaching the upper level. The angular language of the staircase echoes the overall interior design, reinforcing the contemporary aesthetic of 6 Pacific Place and leaving a lasting impression on all who visit.
